The guest room we stayed in was the largest and had a lovely verandah where we could enjoy the amazing views just outside our room. We felt like we were on top of the world! The en suite bathroom was equipped with bathrobes, and we loved the fact that there was tea/coffee, bottled water, and a flat-screen TV in the room. It felt like a home away from home. The Kiwi Room had breathtaking views over the city and surrounding countryside. It was a sight to behold! The premium bedding and air conditioning in the guestrooms made our stay even more comfortable. We also appreciated the free WiFi and safes provided. The room had its own lounge area, which was a great place to unwind after a long day exploring the city. We loved the private patio in our room, along with the outdoor seating. The views over the city and surrounding countryside were simply stunning. The LCD TV and CD player were nice additions too.
Personally, we would have preferred a seating area in the room to relax in after a busy day. But that's just our subjective opinion, as others might still find enjoyment in it.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxury lodge. The modern and comfortable cottage provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The view and location were stunning, and the friendly alpacas added a touch of charm. The hosts were super nice and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this accommodation.
Felt completely at ease during our stay, with nothing being too much trouble.

As Australian visitors to N Z we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights B & B at City Lights. It was in a great position looking down from the mountain to Rotorua. No sulphur smells! The rooms were very comfortable. Our Host and Hostess were very generous and helpful and we made full use of their facilities e.g. Barbecue
The cost was a little more than other B & Bs and although we were served a delicious Continental Breakfast, we would have expected to have been given the choice of a Hot Breakfast.

Spectacular Views and Great Hosts This cozy and clean lodge offers spectacular views of the surroundings. the location is convenient, being far away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet close to the various activities offered. the hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming, and very helpful in suggesting things to do. the homemade breakfast was a definite plus and well-enjoyed. the alpacas were a delight to feed.
Limited Comfort and Amenities Although the location is great, the sofas and beds are not too comfortable. the lack of central AC could make the rooms too warm during hot weather.

Staying at this boutique was a wonderful experience. We were fortunate to learn so much about New Zealand from a locals perspective and even got great recommendations for wonderful restaurants and things to do in the area! The breakfast included had a great selection of different items and was made when requested so the food did not just sit around! Highly recommend definately worth it!!!!!!!!

Located on a hill with city and lake views. Warm hosts, Angie and Leigh, with helpful local knowledge, including mountain bike access. Cozy room with good heating. Ample parking, steep road. Attractive standalone cottage with alpacas and deck with BBQ. Kiwi room with hospitable David and Grace, lamas, cat, jacuzzi, and good prices on their website. Thoughtful touches, delicious gluten and dairy-free breakfast options. Gorgeous view, herbal teas, chocolates, brochures, and informative tips. Will definitely return.

Very friendly and homely. We were made to feel very special and treated with such care. The room was gorgeous, its a pity we couldn't stay for longer!! The breakfast included in the price was absolutely yummy!!
The only thing we can think of is that to be 100%, it would have been nice if they had air conditioning in the room, but apart from that very small thing, it was fabulous.

We absolutely loved our stay at this boutique lodge. The location was stunning, perched on a hillside with incredible views of the surrounding hills and city below. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Nestled on a hillside, the location has excellent views of the city. the hosts offer valuable tips on when and where to visit the local sites. the room was clean and the breakfast was homemade and delicious, especially the blueberry muffins and marmalade.
The bathroom was quite small for a group of friends sharing a room.

Spent my new year break at a cozy lodge up in the hills with breathtaking views. The breakfast provided was delicious, with homemade spreads and a variety of choices. The comfortable amenities and fresh country air were a perfect combination, and the opportunity to experience a different side of the town was a worthwhile advantage. Plus, the hosts were very welcoming and provided us with useful information for our stay.
The location was a bit remote, so transport is essential to move around the town. , the room we had was a bit small and lacked the promised view.
